Get Real World Experience
The triOS Program combines instructor-led training with a clinical work placement designed to prepare you for a career in healthcare.
This National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) recognized curriculum includes classrooms that stimulate hands-on, real-world healthcare settings including hospital beds, wheelchairs and other required equipment.
Typical duties may include:
- Observe and report clinical and treatment information, behavioural changes
- Assist with range of motion exercises, and other rehabilitative measures
- Take and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, bodyweight and height
- Assist with ambulating and mobilization of patients
- Collect specimens for required medical tests
- Provide emotional and support services to care-receivers and families
- Assist with personal hygiene
- Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, dietary planning, food and fluid intake
- Management of household activities
Personal Support Workers perform a wide variety of tasks from day-to-day, all of which contribute to a client’s overall well being.
This NACC Personal Support Worker 2022 certificate program provides you an entryway into the growing Canadian healthcare industry, which is experiencing unprecedented government investment including:
- up to $5,400 stipend while you complete your placement
- up to $10,000 incentive if you commit to working in a long-term care home or with a home and community care service provider for 12 months
- an additional $10,000 if home or provider is in a rural, remote, or northern location
